-First day:
º Pick up from the airport, brief city tour during the journey to the Port of Nanay pier to take the boat, the Nanay River is a tributary of the Amazon River.
º Departure to the lodge, navigate 50 km along the Amazon River in a private boat (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes) to reach the lodge.
º Welcome drink of regional fruits upon arrival at Savia Lodge and giving of rooms
º Self-service lunch
º Walk in the primary forest to see the giant tree "la ceiba", a tree more than 200 years old, learning about medicinal plants.
º Self-service dinner.
º Night excursion, to explore for tarantula, night monkey, tree boa, observe the star constellation (depending on the weather), and much more.
º Amazonian stories and legends narrated by the guide.
º Night at the lodge.

-Second day:
º Observation of the sunrise from the Amazon River, live this spectacular experience to see the sunrise from among the Amazon forests of Peru.
º Self-service breakfast.

º Visit Monkey Island, observe different types of monkeys in their natural habitat, you will be able to interact very closely with the curious primates, take away a unique and unforgettable experience.
º Self-service lunch.
º Observation of gray and pink dolphins, a unique freshwater species, and swimming with dolphins in the Amazon River.
º Observe the sunset on the Amazon River, appreciate this wonderful scene of the entry (sunset) of the sun between the Amazonian forests.
º Self-service dinner.
º Night at the lodge.

-Third day:
º Bird watching, learn about the different types of tropical and endemic birds of our Amazon jungle.
º Self-service breakfast.

º Visit the Yagua tribe, to learn about their dialect, clothing, dances, way of survival, and practice the "Pucuna or Blowpipe, weapon of war and hunting of the Yagua tribe.
º Self-service lunch,
º Sport fishing for piranhas and other fish, enjoy this entertaining activity fishing for piranhas, catfish, pacos, sardines and much more.
º Self-service dinner.
º Farewell party (in groups) with typical live music with our musical group "Encanto del Amazonas", gift cake (for birthdays or anniversaries).
º Night at the lodge.
 
-Fourth day:

º Canoe exploration to learn a little more about the environment without the need for a motor, just using the paddles.
º Self-service breakfast.
º Visit an Amazonian village to learn about its traditions, culture, daily activities and survival in the jungle, and try typical Amazonian medicinal drinks.

º Visit the mixed animal rescue center, and carry the anaconda, three-toed sloth bear, appreciate the prehistoric turtle the "mata mata" and much more.
º Self-service lunch:
º Return to Iquitos, on the way back we will visit the paiche farm, to see the largest fish in the river "Arapaima Gigas - El Paiche" feed the caimans, observe the largest aquatic plant in the world "victoria regia", feed to fish and much more.
º Transfer to the airport. END OF SERVICE.

RECOMMENDATIONS – WHAT TO BRING

Main recommendations for your trip to the jungle – Savia Tours – Iquitos

What to bring:

 

A backpack, light clothing for the heat such as long pants, shorts, T-shirts, shirts, long sleeves, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, sandals, sneakers or shoes, a cap or hat, your personal items, swimsuit and towel. If you take any medication, bring it with you. The yellow fever vaccine is not required.

 

Additional items: rain poncho, rubber boots, and flashlights. You can rent these at the lodge for only 20 soles per person for your entire stay.

 

Optional donations (not required): books, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, rulers, etc. These will be gladly received by the children of the rural community of San Rafael on the Amazon River.
