º Pick up from the airport, brief city tour during the trip to the pier of the Port of Nanay to take the boat, the Nanay River is a tributary of the Amazon River.
º Departure to the lodge, sail 50 km along the Amazon River in a private boat (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes) to reach the lodge.
º Welcome drink of regional fruits upon arrival at Savia Lodge and delivery of your rooms;
º Self-service lunch;
º Walk in primary forest to explore; lion monkeys, squirrel monkeys and much more in their natural habitat, learning about medicinal plants.
º Self-service dinner.
º Night excursion, to explore; tarantula, snake, giant frog and much more, also appreciate the impressive constellation of stars (depending on the weather).

-Second day: 04/18/25
º Bird watching, learn about the different types of tropical and endemic birds of our Amazon rainforest.
º Self-service breakfast.
º Visit Monkey Island, observe different types of monkeys in their natural habitat, you will be able to interact up close with the curious primates, take away a unique and unforgettable experience.
º Self-service lunch;
º Dolphin hunting, watch the gray and pink dolphins, a unique freshwater species, and swim with the dolphins in the Amazon River
º Sport fishing for piranhas and other fish, enjoy this entertaining activity fishing for piranhas, catfish, pacos, sardines and much more
º Watch the sunset on the Amazon River, appreciate this wonderful scene of the entrance (setting) of the sun between the Amazon forests.
º Self-service dinner.
º Night excursion (optional)
º Shaman ceremony to cleanse the body of all negative energy. New Year's toast and party.
º Night at the lodge.

-Third day: 01/01/26
º Watch the sunrise from the Amazon River, (first day of the year, depending on the weather).
º Self-service breakfast.
º Visit the town of San Juan de Huashalado to see the sugar cane mill (an ancient artisanal machine for extracting sugar cane juice), hold the anaconda, the three-toed sloth, see the prehistoric turtle, the "Mata Mata" and much more, and try the typical medicinal drinks of the Amazon.
º Visit the Yagua tribe to learn about their dialect, clothing, dances, survival methods, and to practice the "Pucuna" or blowgun, a weapon of war and hunting of the Yagua tribe.
º Self-service lunch
º Return to Iquitos
º Transfer to the airport/hotel. END OF SERVICE.

Essential Recommendations for Your Amazon Jungle Trip – Savia Tours, Iquitos

What to Bring:

​

Bring a small backpack and lightweight clothing suitable for the warm and humid jungle climate, such as long pants, shorts, T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, sandals, sneakers or comfortable shoes, a cap or hat, personal toiletries, swimwear, and a towel.

If you take any medications, please remember to bring them with you. A yellow fever vaccination is not required for this trip.

Additional items, such as rain ponchos, rubber boots, and flashlights, can be purchased in Iquitos if needed.

Optional Donations

If you wish, you may bring donations for the children of the rural community of San Rafael, along the Amazon River. Donations are completely optional and not mandatory. Items such as books, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, rulers, and other school supplies are greatly appreciated.
